Back in France, everything feels both familiar… and strangely different. My room, my routines, my native language, everything is here, yet a part of me is still in Liberec. In this mix of nostalgia and gratitude, I look back on my final week at TUL (Technical University of Liberec) and realize just how impactful this Erasmus adventure has been.
THE END OF MY ERASMUS IN LIBEREC
As I sit down to write this blog post, I find it hard to believe that my Erasmus experience in Liberec has already come to an end. These past few months have gone by so fast, yet they were filled with so many enriching moments, beautiful memories, and personal growth.
What I appreciated most during my stay was the chance to grow both personally and professionally. I met people from all over the world, exchanged ideas and cultural perspectives, and created bonds that I will carry with me for life. The international environment helped me become more open-minded, more independent, and more confident in myself.
After completing my final exams and wrapping up my responsibilities in
Liberec, it was time to leave. But instead of flying, I decided to make a
more eco-friendly choice and travel by bus, which also gave me the
opportunity to enjoy the scenery one last time.
My journey back to France started with a FlixBus from the Liberec main
bus station, heading towards Florenc station in Prague. It was a
peaceful early morning ride, and I couldn't help but look out the
window, feeling a mix of nostalgia and gratitude for all that I had
lived.
Once I arrived at Florenc, I took a short break before boarding my next
bus: a RegioJet, which would take me all the way to Paris. The long ride
gave me time to reflect on everything. I thought about my first days in
Liberec, the friends I made, the challenges I faced, and how far I had
come. I also thought about the future—about the new chapter waiting for
me back in Prague, where I'll be starting my internship on June 20th.
Going back to France, even just for a few days, felt like a transition.
It gave me time to recharge, reconnect with home, and prepare myself
mentally for the next adventure. But no matter where I go next, I know
that Liberec will always hold a special place in my heart.
Erasmus was not just an academic exchange; it was a life experience. It taught me that stepping out of your comfort zone is not always easy, but it's always worth it. It gave me memories I'll cherish forever and lessons that will guide me for years to come.
Thank you, Liberec. Thank you, Erasmus. And now… Prague, I'm coming back!

FROM LIBEREC TO PARIS: BREATHTAKING LANDSCAPES AND A SISTERLY REUNION
During the Easter holidays, I took the opportunity to leave Liberec, my Erasmus city in the Czech Republic, for a short trip to Paris to visit my sister. It wasn't a family gathering—just a simple, much-needed visit to spend a few days with her and catch up.
The journey began at the Liberec bus station, where I boarded a FlixBus to Florenc, the main bus terminal in Prague. From there, I switched to a RegioJet bus heading directly to Bercy bus station in Paris.
What could have been just a long 15+ hour trip turned out to be an unforgettable visual experience. The route took us through three countries—the Czech Republic, Germany, and France. I was absolutely stunned by the beauty of the landscapes we passed: endless forests, peaceful countryside, snow-covered hills, charming European towns, and the occasional stretch of majestic mountains. It felt like watching a live documentary unfold through the window.
Crossing Germany was a significant part of the journey, both on the way to France and on the return. I was surprised by how smoothly and quietly the bus moved through the German highways. It was a reminder of how connected and accessible Europe really is.
On the return trip to the Czech Republic, before crossing the border, there was a passport check. Officers came onboard to verify everyone's documents, making sure all travelers were in compliance with entry regulations. It was a simple procedure but a good reminder to always keep your ID or passport on hand when traveling. It was a very good trip with very beautiful memories. I also really enjoyed the sunset because it was simply magnificient.
After many hours on the road, I finally arrived in Paris—a bit tired but truly happy. Being able to see my sister and spend some quality time together after months apart made the entire journey worth it.
This trip reminded me of one of the most beautiful parts of the Erasmus experience: the freedom to move, to reconnect, and to discover beauty—even during a long bus ride.

If you choose the Technical University of Liberec for your academic exchange in the charming Czech city of Liberec, you'll most likely be housed at KOLEJE TUL, the university's official student residence.
HAMBURG, THE CITY THAT STAYS WITH YOU.
There are cities that impress you, and then there are cities that make you feel something deeper like you're part of their story, even just for a moment. Hamburg, for me, is that kind of place.
